Citizenship in America…

What does it mean to be an American citizen?  This is the question that I am starting to ask myself on a daily basis, and the answer is still the same as it has been a resounding obligation to be better than the world, and to be a standard for freedom.   I love the United States of America, it is the best country , it is still the leader of the world.  Because we are going through a rough patch does not give us the right to give up on a country that has always been in the lead.

I do understand that the main frustration for many Americans is that our immergration laws are basicly a joke.  However, we have the government to stop this from happening, we have an opprotunity to be ingauged and ask our representatives to stand on the principles that we the people choose.

More to the point about immagration, is that we as the voters must stand up, unite and change the law makers in Washington.  I know that most of our issues of being United in these States, is that without law and order the respect for our government will never be previlant.  Without our own government keeping its own laws how could we expect the citizens of this nation to keep them, or for that matter the non-citizen to keep them.

I am not without compassion, however, compassion comes in many forms, not just in the relm of intitlement, and just giving something vaulable as citizenship away without a cost to those whom wish to have it.   One has to earn thier way in life, if all is just given what does one need to work for?  I say let us understand that preseptions and opinions drive the Untited States and its ecnomy.  The preseption is that America is weak, that we do not up hold the values we once did, and that anyone if illegal long enough will get what they ironicly want and that is citizenship in America.

I am pround to be an American, I am proud to say that I welcome all new comers to America.  This is the basis of freedom and will always be the basis, however, freedom aways comes with sacrafice and with law and order.

Let me know how you feel about immagration in America
